PAL Football Academy
In 2017 Stratford PAL facilitated our first PAL Football Academy. Hundreds of kids attended and heard speakers ranging from college coaches, former high school, college and professional NFL players along with medical and sports training professionals.
The topics covered were academic qualifications for student athletes, strength and speed training, concussion awareness, nutrition, healthy exercise practices, injury treatment, leadership skills and community responsibility.
The Football Academy had three phases. The other Academy components consisted of a Keep the Connection Work Out in June and a Drills and Skills Camp/ Mini-Combine in July!
